Waitomo Glowworm Caves Scheduled Maintenance

We wish to inform you of upcoming scheduled maintenance window at the Waitomo Glowworm Cave Outside Jetty, taking place from October 6 to October 10 2025.

During this period, the outside jetty & access path will be temporarily closed. We would like to reassure you that this work will have minimal impact on your experience. You will still enjoy the full duration of the guided tour and iconic boat ride under the glowworms as the only change is that customers will disembark inside the cave where they board the boat rather than at the outside jetty. Guests will also be required to walk up around 100 stairs on the way out of the cave at the conclusion of their tour.
