Waitomo & Rotorua Tour Inc. Gondola: Auckland return

Gray Line New Zealand daily departing sightseeing bus tours

  • Full Day Tour: 13 hours
  • Ex Auckland
  • Operates Daily

This action-packed full day tour visits a number of leading attractions in the Waitomo and Rotorua regions.

Travel to Waitomo where you will join a guided tour through this world-famous cave formation, climaxed by drifting silently in a boat through a glow worm cavern lit up with thousands of tiny glow worm lights.

On arrival to Rotorua, replace Agrodome Farm Tour with the Skyline Gondola ride to the top of Mt Ngongotaha. Carrying you 487 metres above sea level, you can enjoy panoramic views of Rotorua and its surroundings. You may wish to try out one of the three luge tracks at the top of the Gondola (beginner, intermediate and advanced).

You then head to Te Puia where you'll enjoy a 45-minute Maori Cultural Performance inside Te Puia's sacred Marae (meeting house). Surrounded by the carvings of ancestors, visitors are treated to perfect harmonies, the Poi, Haka and Tititorea (stick dance). Return to Auckland in the evening.

The tour includes morning tea, hot lunch and evening snack all served on board the coach.
